Position: Technical Support Specialist

Job Type: Entry Level Full-time (40 hours per week)
Job Location: San Antonio, Texas


Summary

It is the responsibility of the Technical Support Specialist is to support the delivery of courses in addition to maintaining the LMS system. It is also the responsibility of the Technical Support Specialist to provide support to various departments to ensure student success.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Course Operations. Monitor and maintain course operations such as but not limited to proof of course completions, course vouchers, course registrations, faculty support, and course terms.
  • Process Adherence. Follow proper procedure and stay within company policy while assisting students.
  • Project Completion. Complete routine and assigned projects that require technical fluency.
  • Recordkeeping. Maintain excellent and comprehensive written records/notes for all student interaction.
  • Customer Service. Assist students and coworkers by phone and email in a helpful, positive, and timely manner on level 2 course/LMS tickets.
  • LMS Administrator. Maintain LMS systems and content.
  • Additional Tasks. Maintain flexibility, a positive attitude, and a willingness to complete any additional assigned tasks as assigned by supervisor.

  • Attention to Detail. Able to focus for extended periods of time on highly detailed tasks; Quickly notices inconsistencies, inaccuracies, and misalignments.
  • Problem Solving. Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Develops alternative solutions; Uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics.
  • Analytical Mindset. Identifies the desired outcome, breaks the outcome down into specific questions, finds the root data to answer those questions, and then synthesizes findings into a concise explanation around the original outcome.
  • Process Orientation. Utilizes a step-by-step, cause and effect reasoning approach; efficiently identifies the ripple effects of each action.



General Parameters

  • Education. 1 year of college or an Associates degree
  • Travel. No travel is anticipated
  • Hours. 8:30 A.M. to 5:30 P.M., Monday-Friday with additional time as needed
  • Location. Onsite
