Academic Operations Specialist 

Lumerit Education

The Academic Operations Specialist has two primary responsibilities: supporting the ongoing delivery and maintenance of the Signature Leadership Course Series and supporting the development and improvement of all Lumerit curriculum. The successful employee will demonstrate Lumerit’s core values consistently through all interactions and actively build the culture.

Primary Responsibilties
  • SLC Course Delivery and Faculty Coordination. Support all operational needs for the consistent delivery of the SLC courses while maintaining the high level of service expected of the SLC brand. Coordinate existing faculty members to support facilitation of the SLCs, and work with the VP and Operations Manager to hire and train additional faculty members as required. 
  • Capstone. Plan, attend, and run the annual Capstone event, including but not limited to logistics, travel arrangements, scheduling, and staff coordination. 
  • Development and Maintenance of Lumerit Curriculum. Assist the Academic Operations Department in developing new content and updating current curriculum. Improve departmental performance by identifying and recommending updates to content, systems, and processes. Assist in the research, integration, and testing of those updates. Provide proofing, editing, and logistical support within the Academic Content Review process. 
  • Course Operations Tasks. Assist the instructional design process, transfer curated content into Atheneo, coordinate NPS scores and processes, assist with ACE recommendations and reviews, and other tasks related to supporting the operations of the Academic Operations Department. Gradually cross-train and take on additional responsibilities. 
  • Customer Service. Promptly meet the needs of Lumerit students via phone or email with energetic and personal care. Provide support for the Student Services team as needed. 
  • Other Duties. Provide support to the VP of Academic Development and Director, Central Registrar’s Office as needed.

General Parameters
  • Hours. Regular Full Time. Onsite. 
  • Travel. Travel to the Capstone event is required, and additional travel once or twice a year may be necessary. 
  • Education. Bachelor’s Degree required, previous customer service experience preferred. 
  • Experience. Minimum of 2 years of entry-level experience required.
